JURY NOTES
The members of the CALQ selection committee were struck by this work, which addresses complex subjects such as female sexuality, Indigenous identity, and climate change with intelligence and coherence, in a radical approach that goes well beyond mere provocation.
When the ice melts, will we drink the water?, a choreographic installation created in collaboration with performer Esther Gaudette and composer Jean-François Blouin, was presented by La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines as the closing event of the RAOTIHÓN:TSA festival – Focus on Contemporary Creation by First Nations.
