Created in 2022 by Bernard Lagacé in honor of dancer, choreographer, and artistic director Pierre-Paul Savoie (1955–2021), this prize recognizes Québec artists and cultural workers (individuals, collectives, or organizations) who foster exceptional encounters through a dance project. The award includes a $5,000 grant provided by an anonymous sponsor and 50 hours of studio time offered by the Espace de création Pierre-Paul Savoie.

JURY
An independent selection committee, composed of members of the dance community who share the values championed by Pierre-Paul Savoie (including humanism, generosity, commitment, and integrity), is appointed for a two-year mandate. This committee is responsible for selecting the recipients of the Prix Étincelle | Pierre-Paul Savoie.
