Sandra Lynn Bélanger - Collectif FRAM
Frédérique Rodier is a movement artist whose work bridges creation and performance. In her many interdisciplinary collaborations, she joins forces with research groups that bring together artists from different disciplines: visual artists, videographers, choreographers, theatre directors, photographers, scenographers, and composers. In her personal practice, Frédérique explores dimensions of the psyche and the subconscious through improvisation, active imagination, and somatic approaches. She sees this endeavour as a process of individuation, inspired by the philosophical concept of the alchemical transmutation of being and the psychoanalytic theories of Carl Jung. Frédérique Rodier graduated in performance from l’École de danse contemporaine de Montréal in 2014 and has never ceased her training and exploration through creative workshops and various training courses, in somatic techniques and several other practices that enrich her professional development. She collaborates as a dancer with a number of companies, notably Andrea Peña & Artists, Empire panique (Philippe Boutin), Animals of Distinction (Dana Gingras), and Parts+Labour (David Albert-Toth and Emily Gualtieri).
